Cisco Unity Voicemail Initialization
Introduction
This article is for users who have received a new voicemail and want to configure it.

Procedure
Once you have received notice that your voicemail has been initialized. Please use the following instructions to help configure your voicemail.
Setting up Voicemail On Campus:
From a campus* phone, call 2-2000 or press the appropriate message button**
Enter the default PIN (password) 123456#
You will be prompted to change this password. Your new password should be at least six digits in length. Enter the new PIN and press #
You will be prompted to record your name, follow the prompts to complete
You will be prompted to recording personal greeting, follow the prompts to complete
You will be prompted to change this password. Your new password should be at least six digits in length.
Once your mailbox has been initialized, I would recommend using "brief prompts". To activate brief prompts, call into 22000, enter your updated PIN (password), and then the digits 4-2-3-1. This is a one-time process that will simplify your mailbox usage over the long term.

From any off campus phone, call 780-492-2000
Enter the default PIN (password) 123456#
You will be prompted to change this password. Your new password should be at least six digits in length. Enter the new PIN and press #

Enter your ID (5-digit extension) followed by #
Enter the associated PIN (password) followed by #
** Please note the message button on your phone is for the primary line only unless you select a secondary line first and then selecting the message button.
