Evaluating International Transcripts & Course descriptions for PharmD Entry-to-practice program - Faculty of Pharmacy (Undergraduate)

Modified on: Thu, 20 Mar 2025 10:16 AM

Once you have applied, your application will be reviewed by an admissions advisor in the Office of the Registrar. Your transcripts and course descriptions will be assessed during the admission cycle once you've submitted and paid for the application fee. Unfortunately this is not something they do ahead of time because international transcripts are quite unique and take time to review.  You are welcome to use the U of A Transfer Credit Search tool to see if credit has been granted from your international institution in the past. This can help you get an idea of whether your coursework will be considered U of A transferable when it’s assessed by the admissions office.

Your international transcripts do not need to be assessed by international approved services (IQAS, WES, etc.) as they will be assessed by the University of Alberta’s Registrar’s Office. Assessment of applications happens from March-June of every year. You will receive updates on your application during this time period. It is your responsibility to ensure that course descriptions are provided for any post-secondary coursework completed outside of Canada. See this international transcripts and documents website.
