Open a Private or Incognito Browsing Session
Modified on: Thu, 23 May 2024 2:07 PMIntroduction
This article is intended for anyone who needs to open a private or incognito browsing session in their main browser.
Applicability
This article is intended for all U of A account users that use one of the 4 standard browsers covered in this article: Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
Details
Using a private or incognito will open a browser session that doesn't use any previously stored account, browsing, or add-on data, and data about your browsing session is not saved. Private browsing is useful for troubleshooting issues with a website or service as private browsing sessions do not use any data or accounts saved in your browser.
