Online Withdrawals Exception (OWE) system: Requesting Access
Introduction
This article provides information on how a campus user, typically staff in a Faculty, requests access to the Online Withdrawal Exception (OWE) utility, for reviewing and managing course/class withdrawal exceptions initiated in Bear Tracks.
The Online Withdrawal Exceptions (OWE) utility was created, and is managed, by the Registrar's Office.
When undergraduate students initiate class withdrawals in Bear Tracks, there are certain classes that have Faculty, Program, or Course exceptions attached to them, which restrict the automatic withdrawal process. When students initiate a withdrawal from these exception classes in Bear Tracks, the request is routed to the Online Withdrawal Exception (OWE) utility, where the request can then be reviewed and managed by the student's Faculty advisor(s).
More information on withdrawing from a class in Bear Tracks can be found in this Quick Reference Guide.
